iOS 4 update now available
Go ahead and connect your iPhone or iPod touch to iTunes and it should tell you that iOS 4 is available.
iOS 4 in itself for my iPhone 3GS is about 380MB but it requires iTunes 9.2, which if you don’t have it already is about 100MB more to download.
iOS 4 brings a line of updates [...]

Apple’s distributor in the Middle East, Arab Business Machines, ABM, may finally be doing some advertising and promotions for Apple products the way that fans in the region have been asking for, for a long time.
This video, they even put “viral” in the name of it (I guess hoping that will make it viral somehow), [...]

How to get a free US iTunes account
It’s nice that there is a App Store for the UAE but a full iTunes Store would be much better. Perhaps we should be glad that we got the apps at least on the Apple side since on Android there is no Market at all in UAE.
Why is this important? Obviously if you want to [...]

The Best New Feature of iPhone OS 4

iPod car audio interface
As far as iPod interface with Car Audio is concerned, one of the best ’stock’ or OEM systems I have come across is the one in the modern Jaguars.
Last week, I had a second date with a car that would vote for as best of 2010, the XKR. My first date was with a red [...]

Apple has issued iPhone OS 3.1.3 firmware update
Apple has issued iPhone OS 3.1.3, an update to the firmware that supposedly gives better “battery level monitoring” and a number of smaller fixes too. No one has, as far as I know, reported any new functionality being introduced with the update. Apple also has a knowledge base article about the update.
The update is also available [...]
iPod rules at Royal Dubai School
I spent part of yesterday at GEMS Royal Dubai School. They’ve been running a project using iPod touches and MacBooks in various ways in their activities. Seeing how a class in year 6 used iPod touches to learn math was eye-opening. As soon as the teacher brought out the iPods, they started up their math [...]
