iPhone 4 sales success, du in talks to bring it to UAE
Many of us thought that it would be hard for Apple to keep up the tremendous success they have had with their line of iPhones, going back to the first one in 2007. Today Apple pretty much silences anyone thinking that so far iPhone 4 hasn’t been a success saying that they’ve sold 1.7 million [...]
Apple iPad coming to nine more countries in July
Apple today announced that they’ve sold three million iPads in the first 80 days of it going on sale.
Impressive.
What’s perhaps more interesting is that Apple’s press release said that iPad will hit nine more countries next month.
Obviously we don’t know this for sure but I very much doubt this includes any countries in the Middle [...]

Over 24 shows we’ve covered almost 100 different gadgets, divided as follows (if we split out iPod/iPhone accessories that’d be about 10 or so of what is now in Accessories). Note that I compiled the list in a hurry so I’m probably missing some items:
Computers: 11
Cameras: 9
Printers: 1
Monitors: 1
Camcorders: 2
Webcam: 2
Mobile phones: 15
Accessories: 38
Hard drives: [...]

App Review: Zinio News Reader for iPad
While the initial fan fare of the iPad begins to ware off, the revolutionary device will now be judged more on content, rather than hardware. As an early adopter to the iPad, I very well intended to read lots of news on it, particularly magazines but content was the main issue. Were publishers going to [...]
The Creative Suite OS
The user interface wars have started to heat up again, but this time between Adobe and Apple. An incredibly popular blogger, John Gruber recently noted:
I hope for Adobe’s sake that he’s being disingenuous about these issues; otherwise the co-chairman of their board is completely ignorant of how their flagship products are perceived by many [...]
How old am I in iPhone years?
Two articles caught my eye recently. The first one was by a correspondent for The Gulf News who said that she could not buy a headset for her phone because it was “too old” and she had only had it for a year. The second was on TiPb who asked “Can Apple afford to keep releasing only [...]
Will HP Be Developing Web OS Phones?
In a previous post I discussed the takeover of Palm by HP and pondered what HP might do with their new purchase. I opined that an HP/Web OS phone would not be far off in the future and possibly a tablet computer. Well the CEO of HP, Mark Hurd, speaking at the Bank of America [...]

HTC Legend delayed to Q3 2010
I guess it took them longer than they anticipated because back in early March HTC in Dubai said the Legend would launch “early Q2″ and now they’re saying it “will be broadly available to customers from Q3 2010.”
To refresh your memory the Legend is basically a follow-up to the Hero. It has the same Jay [...]
Multimedia storytelling seminar in Dubai
In a post on EmiratesMac.com, “Dalia” invites anyone to a three hour seminar on multimedia storytelling. It’s described as a session to present you with the various software options through a top-line comparison between them (iMovie, Aperture and Final Cut Pro). That doesn’t exactly sound very clear but perhaps if this is something you’re interested [...]
ABM says you should love iPods
Apple’s distributor in the Middle East, Arab Business Machines, ABM, may finally be doing some advertising and promotions for Apple products the way that fans in the region have been asking for, for a long time.
This video, they even put “viral” in the name of it (I guess hoping that will make it viral somehow), [...]

Apple introduces new iPad-inspired Mac mini
Apple has introduced a new iPad-inspired Mac mini. The new Mac mini keeps the small form factor but shrinks it a bit more. Taking a quick look at pictures of the mini it seems like Apple has taken some design guidelines from the iPad.
