Episode 23: Panasonic compact digital cameras

Today we’re digging into a subject that’s very close to my heart and that’s digital cameras. My photography interest started very early, we’re talking way before digital cameras. I was shooting black and white and developing and enlarging in my parent’s basement. There was a certain magic about that process, seeing an image appear on a piece of paper just because you put it in a particular chemical bath. Eventually I switched to digital cameras of course, which also has its own type of magic and the possibilities are endless pretty much. In this show I speak with Hitesh Ohja from Panasonic here in Dubai. Hitesh is the Product Manager at Panasonic Marketing Middle East looking after mainly cameras ranging from digital still compact cameras, exchangeable lens cameras as well as camcorders. I start off our discussion with asking Hitesh what a consumer should be looking for when they’re thinking about buying a new compact camera. After that we move on to covering a couple of new cameras that Panasonic is just launching in the region. They’re launching a whole range of 13 new cameras but we focus on two.
