10 Google Chrome extensions I have installed

Google’s Chrome is available in a beta version for Mac but you still can’t install extensions in the Mac version of the browser. There is however a way around it, which requires Chromium. With that workaround I’ve installed lots of extensions that all make my browsing experiences better in various ways. Here are 1o extensions I’ve installed:

  • XMarks: XMarks is the way I sync bookmarks between platforms and browsers.
  • EverNote Web clipper: EverNote is my virtual shoebox of everything I write and collect. This extension makes access much easier.
  • Google Mail checker: Shows number of unread emails as a label on an icon in the toolbar.
  • Google Translate: Quick access to translating a web page into any number of languages.
  • Chrome Milk: If you’re a Remember The Milk user this is a good extension for you.
  • RSS Subscription Extension:
  • AniWeather: simply shows a small icon representing the current weather in a location. Cute and harmless but also helpful
  • Proxy Switchy: Easily switch between different proxy settings. Could be helpful if you go between different locations and they require different proxy settings.
  • TwitterBar: Simple twitter support from within Chrome.
  • Gtalk: One click access to your GTalk list.

Note that running extensions on Chrome/Chromium for Mac is not supported by Google and chances are that all extensions will not run.
