Etisalat to launch iPhone 3GS end of this month – should we believe it?

iphone3g_pairIt’s all over the web it seems, that Etisalat supposedly told Arabic UAE daily Al Emarat Al Youm that they will start selling iPhone 3GS “by the end of October.” Gulf News posted about this as did Arab Crunch and others.

The article says that Etisalat has not seen any “negative effect” on the demand for iPhone 3G due to the stories of devices exploding that we’ve seen from other countries. It further says that iPhone 3GS is being tested before released in the UAE and that there has been “no complaints” until now.

I guess what is increasingly safe to say is that iPhone 3GS is coming and this month would be a pretty safe bet. When exactly though we have no official word on and there are rumors out there giving all kinds of dates.
