Clean up after Adobe CS4

I’ve had a copy of Adobe CS4 installed on a MacBook Pro in the office and just the other day it started giving me problems. Applications refused to start or gave me strange error messages so I decided to take it off and install it again.
Silly me I just deleted all the Adobe apps and folders from the Applications folder and emptied the Trash. Yes, I knew better but did it anyway. Of course that didn’t help because it left stuff laying around the Mac still and when I installed CS4 again it kept telling me something about the license had expired and no Adobe app would launch.
Then I did what I should have done from the start, completely uninstall CS4 before installing it again. As it turns out, there is an Uninstaller in Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers. After running that and installing CS4 again everything is fine.
In trying to figure out my problem I came across these instructions that may help you in a similar situation as well as a CS4 Clean Script.
