[...] iStyle special offers on outgoing Apple notebooks You can get a pretty decent bargain, check the details. [...]
they should be honest and call it clearance
it’s ok though
It is defiantly a clearance, even if they offer anything Free with my purchase, I will not by from such store especially the one in festival city. The salesmen don’t know how to sell and they never smile when someone comes to their store.
So bad customer experience with salesmen, by far I would go with the alternative even if I would pay extra
If I came out of a cave and heard about it…
I won’t get one … One year old… so .. i call it … ice aged
the new one is coming .. why blinding my mind and get one
with low battery and needs updates and I have to pay the 29$.
and thanks for the details about the offer which is good for others
but this is my opinion …
Still frickin’ expensive if you ask me ! Plus they are trying to push old models to consumers, which is pathetic. Even when the new macbooks come out, I bet the prices are going to be at least on a 30-35% mark up. Consumers in this region are seriously taken for granted. I have no idea how a company like Apple have chosen these kind of money hungry monsters as distributors for this region. Since us apple users have no choice, the monoply is keeping prices big and giving us a run for our money. Which totally defeats the purpose of treating customers properly.
Zahref, to be fair on iStyle, their selling off these old models because new ones are coming (they’ve not said when though). I bet you for many customers, getting an outgoing model an save some money is not a bad thing. As long as customers get a chance to make an informed decision, I don’t think it’s a bad thing. In fact, I’d rather see that they sell off more old things than they do, but they should do it at even lower prices to drive up demand.
I have to ask, is there an “independent” Apple reseller in UAE? basically stores on the bad side of ABM who just import the Mac from a distributor in the US skipping the middlemen?
in Saudi it’s itechia, techbridge and ADAM ( http://www.adamsa.com/ ). and I am sure others …
Yes there are those who import themselves, bypassing ABM, and prices from them are typically significantly lower than in the authorized channels, like iStyle.
