Press Release: Etisalat Launches Prepaid Option for iPhone

Etisalat Press Release: Reiterating its commitment to provide convenience, coverage and value to its customers, Etisalat today announced the launch of iPhone 3G, 8MB and 16 MB devices for its Wasel customers in the UAE. Starting Wednesday, 1st April, iPhone 3G device will be available for all Wasel customers, who will be able to buy the device off-the-shelf, and benefit from a spectacular offer providing a return benefit of more than AED 2000.

The iPhone 3G 8GB device will be available in black color for AED 3,121, while the 16GB device will be available in both white and black colors for AED 3,570. Etisalat is also offering free 250 MB monthly data package for six months and one free Wasel SIM Card with every device, providing lucrative return benefit of over AED 2000, effectively bringing down the device cost to a little over AED 1000.

Customers can choose to activate their subscription on their current SIM or on the new SIM, being offered free by Etisalat. Customers keen on upgrading the free data package of 250 MB can subscribe to any of the current Etisalat data packages, and the free bandwidth (250 MB /per month) will be added to their selected package automatically.

أبوظبي، الثلاثاء 31 مارس 2009: أعلنت “اتصالات” عن إطلاقiPhone  الجيل الثالث لمشتركي الدفع المسبق “واصل” في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، حيث سيتوفر الجهاز للمشتركين ابتداء من يوم غد الأربعاء 1 أبريل 2009. ويمكن الاختيار بين موديلين، بسعة 8 جيجابايت و 16 جيجابايت، والحصول على مزايا تفوق قيمتها 2000 درهم.

يتوفر جهازiPhone  الجيل الثالث بسعة 8 جيجابايت باللون الأسود مقابل 3121 درهم، بينما يتوفر الجهاز بسعة 16 جيجابايت باللونين الأبيض والأسود مقابل 3570 درهم. ونظراً لارتباط تطبيقات الجهاز بخدمة الانترنت عالية السرعة تقدم “اتصالات” مجاناَ مع كل جهاز  iPhone الجيل الثالث 250 ميجابايت من البيانات شهرياً، ولمدة 6 شهور، بالإضافة إلى بطاقة “واصل” جديدة، مع خيار تفعيل الاشتراك على خط المشترك الحالي أو على البطاقة الجديدة. وهو ما يقدم للمشتركين فرصة توفير أكثر من 2000 درهم على شكل بيانات. وبهذا فإن قيمة الحصول على الجهاز تتجاوز الألف درهم فقط بقليل، وهو ما يجعله عرضا مغرياً من اتصالات”.

يمكن لجميع مشتركيiPhone  الجيل الثالث الراغبين بالحصول على حجم بيانات أكبر الاشتراك بإحدى باقات البيانات من “اتصالات”، حيث تضاف إلى الباقة المجانية  التي تقدمها “اتصالات”.

وتعليقا على هذا الإعلان قال السيد عيسى الحداد، الرئيس التنفيذي للتسويق في “اتصالات”: “بعد أن أطلقنا الجهاز لمشتركينا في نظام (الفاتورة) في المرحلة الأولى فإنه يسرنا اليوم أن نطلق هذه الجهاز لجميع عملائنا في نظام “واصل” أيضا”. وأضاف “يعد الجهاز من أكثر الأجهزة شعبية في العالم، ونحن اليوم نقدمه من خلال شبكة عالية الأداء، وبسعر جذاب ليكون بذلك قد جمع بين عناصر الراحة، التغطية، القيمة”.

وأشار الحداد أنه يمكن الاستفادة من خدمات الإنترنت باستخدام الجهاز في كافة أنحاء الدولة حيث تغطي شبكة الجيل الثالث من “اتصالات” 99% من المناطق المأهولة في الدولة، وتوفر شبكة “اتصالات” حالياً سرعة تصل إلى 7.2 ميجابت/الثانية  لتحميل البيانات و1.92 ميجابت/الثانية  لرفعها إلى الشبكة.
