Press Release: Canon Middle East launches regional Photography Competition

Canon Middle East, the world-leading innovator and provider of imaging and information technology solutions, will start the new year by launching a region- wide photographic competition on 29th January 2009. The competition, called “Celebrating Cultures – How Do You See Your World?”, will run until 20^th March 2009, and encourages photographers of all ability to submit a cultural, historical or heritage-inspired photograph of their country for a chance to win a state of the art DSLR Canon camera – the EOS 1000 D. Out of a total of 13 winners, 3 lucky photographers will also win an all-expense paid trip to attend a Gulf Photo Plus workshop in Dubai  between April 1st and May 1st, 2009.

“Canon Middle East is committed to supporting photography in the region and making it accessible to all. The Canon Photography Competition is great platform to nurture and recognise local talents. Candidates from 13 countries across the GCC, Lebanon. Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Reunion are invited to participate in the competition which will be judged by an independent on-line panel of experts including well known photo editors, photographers and a representative from Canon Middle East.

“We are looking forward to receiving some amazing images that capture the diversity, beauty and spirit of the region and anticipate a great response from the region’s talented professional and amateur photographers. All entries can be viewed online at Canon’s dedicated microsite while winning entries will be exhibited at Gulf Photo Plus for photography enthusiasts and visiting internals professionals to see,” added Hendrik Verbrugghe.

بيان صحفى: كانون الشرق الاوسط تطلق مسابقة اقليمية للتصوير

اعلنت كانون الشرق الاوسط، الشركة الرائدة فى مجال الآت التصوير و حلول تقنية المعلومات، بأنها سوف تبدأ العام الجديد باطلاق مسايقة اقليمية للتصوير فى ٢٩ من يناير ٢٠٠٩. السابقة اطلق عليها اسم ” الاحتفال بالحضارات- كيف ترى عالمك؟”، و سوف تجرى المسابقة حتى ٢٠ مارس ٢٠٠٩. تهدف المسابقة الى تشجيع المصورين للاشتراك باعمال ثقافية و تاريخية من وحى التراث الخاص ببلدانهم و هناك فرصة للفوز بإحدي كاميرات المحترفين – EOS 1000 D- من بين ١٣ متسابقاً. ثلاثة مصورين محظوظين يسوف يفوزون بدفع كافة التكاليف الخاصة برحلة لحضور ورشة عمل ” Gulf Photo Plus” و المقر اقامتها فى دبي فى الفترة مابين اول ابريل حتى اول مايو ٢٠٠٩.

الاعضاء من ١٣ دولة فى منطقة الخليج و لبنان و مصر و الاردن و المغرب و تونس و رينيون يمكنهم الاشتراك فى المسابقة و التى سيتولى التحكيم فيها مجموعة محايدة من الخبراء عبر الانترنت من بينهم محررين للتصوير و مصورين و نائبين من كانون الشرق الاوسط.
