Macworld 2009: LaCie Launches Classic Cinema HDTV Hard Disk Player

Here at Macworld 2009, LaCie has launched their Classic Cinema HDTV player with hard disk. We reviewed the Western Digital WD TV in our January issue and I wrote that one thing that surprised me about it was that it didn’t have any hard drive; you have to connect external USB storage.

The LaCie Classic seem to be a direct competitor to the WD TV but it does have a hard drive built in. It comes in 500GB ($169.99) and 1TB (TBA) versions. It has a USB 2.0 port on the front, a HDMI connection on the back, and it seems to play most common digital video file formats.

فى ماك ورلد ٢٠٠٩ أطلقت ” لاكي” منتجهم Classic Cinema HDTV المزود بقرص صلب. لقد راجعنا من قبل منتج ويسترن ديجيتال WD TV فى عدد يناير و كتبت حينها ان الشيء الذى أدهشنى هو عدم وجودقرص صلب إذ يجب عليك ان تقوم بتوصيله بوحدة ” يو أس بى” خارجية.

منتج ” لاكي” يبدو انه منافس قوى لمنتج ويسترن ديجيتال إذ ان به قرص صلب داخلى. الجهاز متوفر بسعة ٥٠٠ جيجابايت وبسعر يبلغ ١٦٩.٩٩ دولار بالاضافة إلى  نسخة  ( 1TB(TB. كما يوجد به مدخل ” يو اس بي ٢.٠” فى المقدمه. هناك أيضاً وحدة توصيل HDMI فى مؤخرة الجهاز، و يبدو انه قادر على تشغيل أغلب انواع الفيديو.
