Praise For iStyle Store Staff

Earlier tonight we were buying a MacBook Pro at the iStyle store in Festival City, Dubai. When we read about someone’s experience from a store in the Middle East it’s usually about something that’s gone wrong.

With this post I wanted to do something different and actually praise the team in the store. They were courteous, helpful, got the discount correct without any fuss, and overall were just great.

For those of you who don’t know, members of the EmiratesMac Apple User Group get discounts on purchases at iStyle and some other stores. At iStyle the discount varies up to 7% depending on what product is being purchased.

In the past we’ve had many issues with stores taking too long figuring out what the discount should be, having to call someone to check, and in some cases even refusing to apply the discount. All in all, it’s often been frustrating and in some cases members have even stopped asking for the discount because it’s not been worth it.

I hope it’s a sign that things are going smoother now and that members are getting their discounts. And I am glad to be able to tell a good story from an experience in a store. We do that all to seldom, I’m afraid.
