MagSafe: One of Apple’s Best Ideas Ever

The MagSafe connector is now almost two three years old. It was at Macworld Expo January 2006 it was introduced in the MacBook Pro. As you know, it uses magnetism to attach the power adapter plug to the computer, instead of the usual way of sticking the plug into the computer. This means if someone by accident pulls the cable the plug will just release without any harm done. I can’t tell you how many times this has saved my power plug and computer but it amounts to quite a bit of money saved by now

Apple has many good ideas about how to design things, hardware as well as software, but the MagSafe connector must be one of the better ones ever.

    yup, totally agree.

I would like to add that Apple has this great thing of being innovative, they dont just take ideas as is and implement it.
Look at very small ideas, like the AC Charger with those small hooks to wrap the wire around, isnt that creative?
