Saturday’s Apple: Looking For Macworld Expo Suggestions
October 18, 2008 by Magnus Nystedt
Macworld Expo is approaching fast and we’re making our preparations for the big annual Apple-event. It kicks off January 5, 2009, and runs for five days. Most of you know that it’s the biggest event on the Apple calendar, followed by WWDC in June. These are the two events that the rest of the Apple year is structured around. Then to fill in the space in between, Apple has special events, like the recent two events introducing new iPods and the new notebooks.

As far as I know, the Middle East has had no media representation at Macworld Expo but in 2009 that will change. Shufflegazine will be reporting from the event live and with a few people on site to bring you stories, news, information, rumors, etc. Also, the EmiratesMac Apple User Group will be represented and will engage with other user groups from around the world to share good ideas, discuss things, etc.
We don’t want to start the speculation early this year, I’m sure there’ll be enough of that in weeks and months to come. What we do want to do is get your input on who and what companies you would suggest we talk to at Macworld Expo. Since we’ll be going there we want to take the opportunity to talk to as many individuals and companies as possible. Macworld Expo is a lot activities crammed into one short space in time, and it’s important that we make the most of it. Whether we can bring you something live from the keynote we don’t know but if we do get in a Blackberry with international (unlimited) plan from Etisalat may be very appropriate to bring with us.
So what are we looking for? Really, we want you to tell us who and what companies we should visit and talk to in order for us to bring you stories and information about them to Shufflegazine and Shufflegazine.com. This could be anything from a story on a small software development company, to a individual famous for something in the Apple world, to a big company that produces something. We’re open for all ideas and suggestions.
Obviously we can’t promise that we’ll get to talk to all the people and companies you suggest but we’ll do our best. The best chance we’ll have is obviously with companies and people attending Macworld Expo but don’t let that stop you from giving us suggestions. Since we’ll be in the San Francisco area for about a week, give us ideas for who we can go talk to that stays in the area.
So bring it on! Tell us who you’d like us to go talk to and we’ll try hard to include them in our schedule. We hope that Shufflegazine reporting from Macworld Expo will be a regular thing from now so that Apple fans in the Middle East can enjoy reporting from there just as much as any other part of the world.
