OpenOffice.org 3.0 Now Available

The final release version of OpenOffice.org 3.0 is now available for download from their mirror sites.

Version three is a big step forward in functionality but for Mac users (Intel Macs only) arguably the biggest news is that OpenOffice.org now has the native Mac OS X interface, meaning it looks and works like any other application on your Mac. Previously it used something called X11 to run which meant it ditdn’t look and work like you expect applications to do.

We’ll come back to a full review in a future issue of Shufflegazine and her on the site.
