IMC No More – Welcome VAD

Although I can’t find any official news or confirmation on this it seems that Apple has done away with the IMC (Independent Marketing Company) concept and now it’s called Value Added Distributor (VAD) instead. You can see a listof all VAD’s for Central Europe, Middle East and Africa on Apple’s web site. The list includes our very own “Arab Business Machines” for “Middle East and Egypt”. This is something we’ve been hearing about for a long while but until now I’ve not seen anything on the web or elsewhere. What this actually means in reality for the VAD and for us, the customers, we still don’t know.
